Financial accountant

The Sr. Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing general ledger accounts, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting tax compliance and audit preparation. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the company while meeting tight reporting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial accounting within the automotive manufacturing industry and be proficient in Epicor ERP and financial reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and ensure the accuracy ofmonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsin compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Providetimely financial reportsto HQ, ensuring they meet corporate deadlines.
• Ensure compliance withlocal tax regulations, financial standards, and company policies.

2. General Ledger Management

• Maintain and reconcilegeneral ledger accountsto ensure financial accuracy.
• Ensure proper recording ofjournal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Assist with themonth-end and year-end closing processes.

3. Accounts Receivable

• Manage vendor and customer accounts, reconciling outstanding balances.
• Addressdiscrepancies and resolve financial issuesrelated to AP/AR.

4. Budgeting & Cash Flow Management

• Assist inbudget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Monitorcash flow, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities forcost control and financial optimization.

6. Process Improvement & Efficiency

• Identifyopportunities to improve financial processesand enhance reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Cost Accountant and other teams to streamline financial workflows.
• Ensure financial data integrity and compliance withEpicor ERPsystems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is aplus.

Experience:

• 2-5 yearsof experience in financial accounting, specifically inautomotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge offinancial reporting, compliance, and general accounting principles.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Epicor ERPfor financial tracking and reporting.
• Advanced skills inMicrosoft Excel(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) andfinancial reporting tools.
• Knowledge oflocal and international accounting regulations and tax compliance.
• Experience inbudgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
