The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the full scope of manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all areas. This role is strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership and a focus on continuous improvement to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations including receiving, inventory management, production, maintenance, quality assurance, import/export, and shipping. Ensure alignment with production targets and performance KPIs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Promote a culture of safety through policy implementation and training.
Manage operational budgets and drive cost-efficiency initiatives. Monitor expenditures and implement corrective actions to improve profitability.
Lead, train, and evaluate operational staff. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and alignment with company values to enhance productivity and morale.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, or other methodologies. Optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance.
Ensure that quality standards are met or exceeded. Investigate and resolve quality issues, working closely with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery and movement of materials.
Support layout optimization, production scaling, and the introduction of new processes or products. Align operational strategies with broader business objectives.
Deliver regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
