The global leader in Machinery GEA, has an immediate need for a Field Service Engineer in Mexico. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a member of the Mexico Service Support Team. Working within an integrated team of Sales, Field Support, Product Support, and Engineering Support, you will be responsible to proactively solve problems , primarily in a customer environment. Specific responsibilities will include troubleshooting, rebuilding, configuration, installation, commissioning, training, preventive maintenance and overall support of existing equipment and applications including service documentation. Job requirements: Have a minimum of 2-5 years experience in field service on a national or international level. Engineering degree or equivalent education / experience Must be disciplined, independent, creative, hard-working, flexible, team oriented, personable, and trainable.
Must have demonstrated success in the support of complex electro and pneumo-mechanical or related systems. Must have demonstrated success in the support and diagnosis of Allen Bradley / Omron plc driven control systems. Must have working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and Access Must have demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics. Must possess a willingness to travel frequently up to 80 overnight as required to resolve remote site problems. Some travel in country may be required. Must possess a willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends to meet customer and business needs. Experience with aseptic packaging, Dairy Food and Chemicial machines and processes desired.
Job responsibilities include: Working closely in a team environment to support external and internal customers to achieve business excellence. Traveling to customer sites to install, repair or perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Providing remote support to customer and peers troubleshooting packaging equipment problems. Reading and understanding mechanical assembly drawings, bill of materials, electrical schematics, etc.
Prepare detailed and accurate service call reports to ensure a complete history of service activity at customer locations.
